Timekeeping Alerts and Notifications — Custom Tags
When you configure a Timekeeping Alert Profile, Timecard Change Request or a Timecard Request Review, you select the notification that is sent to the manager or the employee when the alert is triggered. This notification can include information that is specific to the alert type by including custom tags in the notification's message.
Note: A custom tag is similar to a variable. For example, when you add the custom tag Employee Name to the message of a notification it appears as <Employee Name>, but when the notification is sent, this is replaced with the employee's actual name.
Many custom tags are available in the Timekeeping list when you are configuring a generic notification but not all tags are supported for all alert types or events. See the topics in this section to determine the custom tags that are supported for each alert type or event.
When configuring a Workflow Notification > Generic notification for a timekeeping alert, the following custom tags are supported for the various timekeeping alert profile types.
