Assign zone and shift sets to locations

Explicitly assign a zone set or shift set to locations.

Note:

A location can be associated with either one schedule zone set or one workload shift set.

A location without an explicit assignment uses the set from the next parent location.

Example: Assign a zone set to City. All locations in City use that zone set unless explicitly assigned another zone set.

  1. From the Main Menu, select Administration > Application Setup > Scheduler Setup > Workload Setup.
  2. Select the Schedule Zone Sets tab or the Workload Shift Sets tab.
  3. Select the shift set.
  4. Click Assign to Location.
  5. Select the locations.
  6. Note: Changes that take effect during a schedule period affect the display of information in the Workload Planner. To display staffing data for a time span when location assignments change, select a time period of stable data. If you change a location assignment for a zone set, the data in the staffing plan for the old location assignment is deleted. You cannot display staffing data for the period after the effective date of the change.

  7. Click Save & Close. The assignment is effective immediately.
