Configure location profiles – holidays

If different regions celebrate different holidays or the same holidays on different days, configure the Workload Planner to generate workloads that account for the holidays at different locations. Location profiles are optional.

  • Location profiles assign holidays to single or multiple locations in the business structure.
  • If the entire organization uses the same holidays at all locations, use the Default Workload Holiday Planner. If you add holidays, select the new holidays in this default location profile. If you need to create and assign location profiles to assign different procedure sets, metrics, or pay rules to locations, do not select holidays in these location profiles. Leave all holidays in Available Holidays because these locations will inherit the holidays from the Default Workload Planner Holiday location profile.
  • If the organization uses different holidays at different locations, configure and assign location profiles that include the correct holidays to the appropriate sites. In the Default Workload Planner Holiday location profile, deselect all holidays by moving them to Selected Holidays. Otherwise, the locations inherit holidays from the Organization node.
  • Location profiles are inherited in the business structure.
  • If the root node of the business structure has no location profile, the system creates and assigns a “Default Workload Planner Holiday” location profile to the root “Organization” node. This profile contains all of the configured holidays.
  • You cannot change the location assignment of the Default Workload Planner Holiday location profile to anything other than “Organization”.
  • You cannot change the location assignment of the Default Workload Planner Holiday location profile.
  • Holiday assignments at lower levels of the business structure override assignments at higher levels.
