The purpose of batch processing is to reduce processing time. Schedule long-running and resource-intensive tasks at times that do not degrade system performance, or balance tasks among as many servers as are available.
- Configure batch tasks
- Configure batch events
- Configure batch groups
- (Optional) Enable notifications of batch processes
- Schedule batch events
Note:
To assign access to batch processing:
- Navigate to Administration > Application Setup > Access Profiles > Function Access Profiles.
- Select the applicable person and enter Batch Processing in the Search field.
- For each of the following function access control points (located in Manager - Common Setup), select Allowed or Disallowed in the Edit or View columns:
- Batch Processing
- Batch Tasks
- Batch Events
- Batch Groups
- Click Save.
