Job Application Statuses

Job application statuses (Administration > HCM Setup > Settings > HR Setup > Applicant Tracking/Recruitment > Job Application Statuses) are the best way for a recruiter to know which applications have already been reviewed. By using the status to manage this, all new applications will have the "New" status by default and can then be moved through the process so the hiring manager will only see those applications that have already been reviewed when using applicant groups.

As applicants are added to job requisitions, their application status can be set to automatically update the applicant's status as they are processed through the system. From the Applications widget on the Applications tab of the job requisition (Recruitment > Job Requisitions) you can view a report of the applicants (Job Applications Per Job Requisition page). In the report, you can view the job application and manually set the job status of the applicants.

You can also view the applicant from this report. After opening the applicant record, in the Applications tab, you can view the job status of the applicant for each job shown on the page.

There are three system statuses: New, Rejected, and OK. You can create your own statuses. These status codes can also be used in applicant groups.

To create a new Job Application Status, select the Add New button and enter the following information:

Job Application Status Name: Enter the desired name of the status.

Job Application Status Name (As Shown to Applicants): Enter the status name you want to display to applicants (for example, Reviewing or Considering) Leave blank if no status will be displayed to the applicant.

Sort Order: Enter a number for sorting in the report page.
