Brazil Device Setup

Important Before you can configure Brazil Compliance, you must open a support case to enable the feature on your tenant. Once the feature is enabled, you can turn on the feature switch and configure your Brazil Device Setup.

Brazil Device Setup (BDS) enables organizations to set up a Brazilian data collection system to comply with Brazilian regulations that govern the use of electronic timekeeping systems. This feature is designed to meet the compliance requirements set by the Brazilian government.

BDS enables integration with third-party device REPs. Companies can be configured and then downloaded to REP devices and then employee punches The entries on a timecard that mark the beginning (in-punch) or end (out-punch) of a work interval, such as the beginning of a shift or transfer. can be imported from the configured devices. BDS also generates a compliance report and files as required by Brazilian law.

Brazil Device Setup includes configuring the following:

  • Pay Code Attribute Definitions — Pay Code Attribute Definitions are assigned to employees in People Information.
  • Devices — Devices are assigned to Device Groups.
  • Device Groups — A Device Group is assigned to a company, and can only be assigned to one company.
  • Companies — Companies are assigned to employees in People Information.

When these are configured, you can then add Brazil Compliance information to the relevant employee person records.
