You can use Current Assigned Order section of the the Attestation Profile page to associate multiple workflows to the same Attestation button. For example, the entries in the following grid define the behavior for current punches in the Punch Button Time Entry Workflow and for fixing past or missing punches in the Manual Time Entry Workflow. For each type of workflow, there are two entries for the Punch Out button (here, they are Unsafe_always and Meal_break). The button (Punch Out) is displayed only once, but two questions are asked, each corresponding to a different workflow (Simple Question Form and Complex Meal Break v2, for example). The question in the Simple Question Form will be first and the question in the Complex Meal Break v2 form will be second.
Current Assigned Order
Name | Button | Condition | Punch Button Time Entry Workflow | Manual Time Entry Workflow |
---|---|---|---|---|
Unsafe_always | Punch Out | Always | Simple Question form | Simple Question form for Manual Time Entry |
Meal_break | Punch Out | 300 minutes worked | Complex Meal Break v2 | Complex Meal Break for Manual Time Entry |
The current assigned order determines the order in which the Attestation workflows associated with the Attestation button are displayed to the employee.
When assigning multiple workflows to the same button, consider the following:
- Ensure that the assigned workflows are in a logical order. For example, a workflow that might disqualify an employee from punching in should be placed first, to prevent the employee from needlessly answering other Attestation questions. Example: Simple Question form configured with the question "Did you test positive for COVID-19 today?"
- Avoid assigning multiple workflows that take the user from Attestation workflow to their timecard. Examples: Time Review Form and Missed Punch.
- Workflow Only button types do not create a punch and their assignments should be restricted to non-punch activities, such as Attestation Paycode A category of time or money that employees earn, for example, Regular Hours, Bonus, or Sick..
Note: You do not have to associate a Manual Time Entry workflow with an Attestation button for the button to be displayed on the Select Punch Type slider on My Timecard.
